The boutique Bona Drag is always on my list when I’m searching for cheeky, vintage-inspired fashion, and I think I’ve hit the jackpot with this “joke’s on you” quartz ring designed by Erica Weiner.
It’s supposed to be a pretty, wearable spoof of a diamond engagement ring, Tiffany’s style. The jagged quartz stone pokes fun at the “more is more” attitude that some ring shoppers have when they choose the biggest, showiest baubles. Weiner’s quartz stone is set with wire prongs in imitation of the popular solitaire setting, but what’s the most ironic part? Each fake-out ring is handmade and totally unique, so even though it’s a spoof, it’s actually more special.
