At the beginning of Gossip Girl, Vanessa was one of my favorite characters, especially when she brought Nate to life. Then she started getting snarky and bitching behind Little J.’s back (as much as she deserved it), so I lost interest.
But Jessica Szohr is still interesting and stunning and cool, and I came across this interview with her that delves into her Hello Kitty and Iron Man obsessions, 1990s-ish discipleship of Blockbuster, love of Cheetos and her little girl modeling days for Kohl’s.
It’s practically the only time you’ll see Jessica/Vanessa score more screen time than her more famous party pals or on-screen frenemies, and it’s worth it.
