A few weeks ago, I ran across this post on the Fashionista.com community boards, asking for opinions on what kind of garment best works with a gaping, oversized racerback tank, sort of like the T. by Alexander Wang designs. It’s a sexy look that could also be practical, given the maximum potential for airflow on oppressively hot days, if not for the peep show problem.
A few readers recommended American Apparel baneaus, but if you’re not into pudging over your tube top or walking around as an 80s revival child, follow the instructions from the reader who advised shopping Eberjey bras.
Eberjey’s nylon pointelle mesh triangle bralets come in 16 different colors, and while they don’t seem to offer major support (or even nipple coverage), they’re absolutely designed to make you feel like you’ve splurged on uber expensive and flirty lingerie. But each bra is just $36, and if you wear it to show it off under a cutout, oversized tank or dress, it’s well worth it.
