In a story that started circulating yesterday, designer Emanuel Ungaro blasted Lindsay Lohan for her sub-par (okay, terrible) creative consulting skills that she was hired to perform to prepare the fledgling brand for Paris Fashion Week. Ungaro, who hasn’t been with the house since he sold it in 2005, called Lohan’s collection “a disaster” and fears that his former company is “well on its way to “losing its soul,” reported People.com.
Lindsay, who hasn’t yet been fired from her Artistic Advisor position, worked along with newly appointed Spanish designer Estrella Archs — who’s also designed for Emilio Pucci, Nina Ricci, Prada and Hussein Chalayan — in what is potentially one of the most embarrassing collections of all time. Both replaced head designer Esteban Cortazar who supposedly wasn’t getting enough attention for the brand.
Cortazar was young and probably a little too raw, but at least his clothes were pretty, and experimental, and not like…that, in the upper left hand corner.
