About

Fashion Saved My Life is an online digest sharing news and commentary about the fashion industry, spotlighting designers, runway shows and emerging trends, models, editorials, campaigns and other sources of creative and sartorial inspiration.

Add to the dialog by commenting or sending in your own personal styling ideas, insider tips or just random impressions: all insight and news can be sent to lauramilli AT gmail DOT com.

Fashion Saved My Life is written, edited and managed by Laura Milligan, a freelance writer and manic fashion maven who lives in Houston, TX, and who doesn’t pretend to be able to afford half the clothes and shoes she craves. Laura has previously written for the now defunct ENVY magazine and envymags.com, as well as other online media and sites like Examiner.com. She currently contributes to the blog for Wearever the Weather, and has traveled to major fashion capitals like Copenhagen and New York to cover the industry during Fashion Week.

We have samples available to send to you and more information per your request.

I love the deconstruct shirt, over skinny jeans with smushy bag and black kohl around eyes. I go for flats with this. Love your taste, Laura.

I think you like fashion in all its forms, so I just wanted to let you know that “fashion week” is still open!:) On November 6th 2009, here in Houston, another company is having a fashion show. The name of the company is FrancescaBachour and the designer and the manager are both Italian. I’m the manager. And I would be delight to have you at my show too.

I actually got your website address from a girl that you met at the Lot 8 Houston Fashion Week Announcement party! Her name is Ashley Horace. I am a fashion blogger (just recently started) and I was sad that you had already left when she said she met you! I love your site and you are a great writer! It is nice to know more bloggers in HOUSTON!
